Oncology Strategic Marketing is composed of six sub-teams: Franchise Marketing, Consumer Marketing, Precision Medicine and Diagnostics, Advocacy and Professional Relationships, Thought Leader Strategy and Strategic Account Management. The Franchise Marketing team is responsible for leading strategy and maximizing effectiveness across all of U.S. Oncology as it relates to: Peer-to-Peer Programs, GPO Execution, Congresses, and Sponsorships. The Marketing Manager position will collaborate with brand marketing teams, Thought Leadership Liaisons (“TLLs”), and the collaboration partner in speaker identification, launch strategy, content development and execution of peer-to-peer HCP for hematology brands. This position is also responsible for managing and overseeing Speaker Program execution, including managing Speaker Program Vendor(s) to ensure a flawless experience for all stakeholders within the required timelines. The role also manages speaker identification, training/coaching, and socialization of key performance indicators to the sales and brand teams.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategy and launch planning in collaboration with brand team, TLLs, and collaboration partner/s.
  • Lead content development across multiple brand teams, collaboration partners, and medical education agencies
  • Build go-to market tactical plan and develop tactics that align to the strategic brand plan primarily for P2P education
  • Contribute to launch readiness presentations to Executive Leadership
  • Partner with medical, legal, and regulatory teams to review and approve promotional activities.
  • Manage internal/external networks, consultants, and agency partners
  • Improve, socialize, and drive adoption of the P2P ecosystem with program extension, strategic planning tools, potential on-demand options, and toolkit for virtual programs
  • Manage and oversee the tactical execution and shared accountability of key content and educational programs
  • Maintain P2P and franchise marketing budget tracking through alignment with brand teams and other cross-functional partners
  • Collaborate with P2P, Franchise, and Strategic marketing team to further the values and vision of the Oncology Strategic Marketing team
  • Ensure stakeholder alignment in a in a fast pace, rapidly evolving environment
  • Successfully influence and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, including vendors and field teams
  • Collaborate to develop and execute on product theaters for major congresses
  • Ensure adherence to relevant policies and procedures related to planning and executing of Speaker Programs
Qualifications:

Marketing Manager II Requirements:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years relevant marketing/agency experience, preferably in Oncology
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Excellent diplomacy and facilitation skills; ability to influence without authority
  • Solid business acumen, including budget management
  • Speaker Program management experience (Client or Agency)

Marketing Manager I Requirements:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years relevant sales/marketing experience
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a track record of successful experiences in organizational roles
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Computer skills, MS Office and third-party software as needed

Preferred:

  • MBA
  • Launch experience in the oncology space
  • Knowledge and experience in hematology and solid tumor markets
  • Continuous Improvement and/or Change Management skills
  • Knowledge of AbbVie policies, procedures, culture, and other brand team operations
  • Digital marketing and measurement in pharmaceutical healthcare industry experience (Client or Agency)
  • Continuous Improvement and/or Change Management skills
Significant Work Activities: Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day)
Travel: Yes, 10 % of the Time
