AbbVie US Commercial Patient Services Organization is looking for a Technology Manager for the API & Integration Services to lead the planning, requirements, architecture, design, development, and release of APIs, Microservices, Enterprise Services Bus solutions using TIBCO, Microsoft .NET Tech Stack across all US brands to enable real time integration of data and to enable exceptional patient experience for all US Patient Services and Consumer Marketing solutions.
This position will be responsible for supporting, planning and coordinating functional and technical activities related to APIs & Integration Services in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment. The individual will work alongside talented Technical Product Owners, Technical Leads, Architects, Software Engineers, and Quality Engineers in a highly collaborative environment to deliver high quality solutions on time. The individual on this position will also work very close to the stakeholders and the external agencies and plays a key role in establishing, executing and supporting business critical system integrations across the Commercial Organization.
Leading the team providing diverse integration solutions such as Web API, Microservices, message queues, enterprise service bus, etc. using Microsoft .NET Technology Stack and TIBCO.
Define the delivery process and ways of working for the team to scale the delivery of integration solutions across all the US brands.
Define standard KPIs to measure the performance of the delivery team and implement ideas for continuous improvement.
Define robust demand management process including prioritization, capacity forecasting and planning, etc. to manage the delivery.
Oversees the activities of the team to ensure excellence in execution and effective delivery of Integration services.
Partners with the technical product owners, business relationship managers, solutions architects, application tech leads, project managers and integrated operations team in understanding the integration requirements, overall business objectives, business criticality, value of the solution and accountable for the design, implementation & delivery of the integration solution.
Manages the microservices based API platform used by consumer facing brand websites and mobile apps.
This person works collaboratively with numerous application teams and other managers/associate directors to design, build and deliver scalable and efficient integration solutions.
Define the long-term roadmap to resolve the technology debt in the current implementation of Enterprise Service Bus including but not limited to transforming existing monolithic services to microservices, migrating to modern source control management solution, implement CI/CD/CT pipeline.
Responsible for overall project execution, financial control and effectiveness.
Manage team of 2 direct reports and 15+ onsite / offshore consultants and directly responsible for the budget of $3MM to manage the delivery of API & integration solutions.
Ensure the development of effective standards and the implementation of best practices for APIs & Integration.
Define and operationalize the governance framework for architecture and delivery.
Lead the planning, requirements, architecture, design, development, testing and documentation of complex programs from approved specifications, and subsequent iterations, using the operating model process and best practices.
Perform the work efforts estimation, designs the API as per the TIBCO architecture and leads the offshore team for development. Mentor less experienced colleagues as needed.
Lead the development of integration solutions.
Integration services architecture, planning, design, development and delivery. Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
5+ years of development experience using TIBCO Enterprise Message Service, Designer/Studio and other TIBCO suite of products.
Strong experience in managing and monitoring TIBCO using tools such as TIBCO Administrator, HAWK and API Management
Expertise in .NET, Java, JMS, SOAP, REST, JSON, SQL, XML technologies and knowledge of GitHub, Jenkins, and Unix/Linux shell scripts.
In-depth understanding and experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Micro-Services based solutions.
Hands on experience developing complex services/solutions based on Enterprise Integration Patterns and Coding best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills in a very complex area of high volume of transactions, with integration builds a per each application specific needs in the eco system.
In-depth knowledge of the relationship between business processes, applications, databases, operating systems, processing platforms, storage platforms, security systems, and networks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to transition smoothly between technical and business vernacular given the audience.
Strong knowledge of Pharmaceutical Commercial domain preferred.
Experience in mentoring/coaching/guiding the team
Experience with setting long-term integration strategy/product road maps aligning with business expectations/needs.
Proven leadership experience in project management, Agile delivery management, delivery of integration services, and building & scaling a high performing team.
Technical experience in implementations and support of integration solutions
Manage time effectively and execution of business priorities for different brands simultaneously
Ability to make objective and timely decisions under difficult circumstances and with incomplete information.
Excellent analytical skills that are demonstrated by the ability to organize thoughts and ideas in a logical manner.
