The Cloud Data Operations lead is a key role in managing and supporting the US Commercial data cloud platform in the US Commercial Patient Services & Data - Business Technology Solutions (BTS) group. This role is geographically located in Lake County (USA). Data Ops Lead will work in collaborating cross functionally with Commercial patient services, Business Technology Services-BTS, Commercial Analytics and Operations, Enterprise teams along with vendor partners in delivering data pipeline support for business consumption and analytics capability. Commercial Operational support across various strategic business initiatives including Digital Transformation, Winning with Data. Data Lake Operations Lead will align cross functionally to support the AWS Cloud platform, operationalizing processes across various Data Lake teams supporting Patient Services, HCP Marketing, Digital Consumer Marketing and Digital Lab MLOps area. Operations lead will be a trusted partner in leading and streamlining the run and project delivery transition processes, DataLake governance and expand Data Lake operations to support several key critical initiatives and technologies for AbbVie US Commercial BTO. This position will lead a team spanning multiple vendor partners in providing Operational support on data pipeline, platform performance, ensuring sound SLC/AGILE DevOps methodologies are followed and Service Level Agreements SLA reporting.
Responsibilities & Skills:
Lead the Data Lake Operations team to deliver accurate, reliable, and timely data deliverables and operational support across key stakeholders in Commercial BTS, Patient Services, HEOR, Commercial Analytics and Partners that utilize the Commercial Data Lake ecosystem.
Establish a governance model to track and report on-going change requests and operational metrics/KPIs to management regarding Commercial Data Lake and takes decisions to successfully enable business processes that depends on the Data Lake.
Collaborate and baseline SLAs for different deliverables produced from the Commercial Data Lake and manage reporting on delivery based on agreed SLAs and data pipeline management.
Actively engage in Data-pipeline and platform issues and be the initial escalation point for critical business prioritization.
Lead and provide priorities to Data Ops team responsible for data pipeline, platform support areas.
Participate in collaboration with Architects, Data Engineers, Operations, and platform teams to enhance frameworks for data ingestion, data quality, process management, project delivery and SLA tracking. Promote adoption of standard Standards and Best Practices across various delivery teams.
Follow data governance policies, procedures and processes related to Data initiatives and facilitate periodic review.
Lead point of contact for data related incidents to follow up resolution, analysis results and prevention plan.
Possesses ability to work on multiple requests in parallel by setting priorities, working independently, leading problem resolutions and functioning as part of a team that performs well under pressure.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and superior communications skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to understand the commercial environment and business needs and translate to workable solutions.
Experience working in a data operations environment and understands the data product lifecycle.
Results oriented technology leader with experience in managing complex operations, meeting SLAs and systems infrastructure.
Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS S3, EMR, Hadoop, Hive, Python, Dataiku, Spark, Informatica IICS, Snowflake.
Experience in Automation, process improvement, ITIL framework, SDLC and Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipeline Azure DevOps, Scheduling and Orchestration toolsets.
