Business Analyst, Marketing Automation

The Business Analyst, Marketing Automation role is responsible for overseeing the technical architecture, API development, enhancements, and data integration activities within the Marketing Automation program.  He/she will analyze technical aspects of the HCP marketing eco-system; lead release management activities and leverage all the features and capabilities within the Marketing Automation platform. This position will advocate awareness of all the technical capabilities within the HCP omni-channel marketing eco-system and ensure optimal utilization within the Marketing Automation platform and other eco-system components. 

 

Key Responsibilities Include: 

  • Leads Marketo platform & technical architecture, API development, web services, and data integration activities, platform support.
  • Oversee platform operations, ensures system is running efficiently and integrated with predefined data feeds along with middleware tool and other Adobe exchange partner solutions.
  • Understands the overall HCP omni-channel marketing strategy; works with Business Relationship Managers and business clients to understand specific business processes and needs and opportunities for improvement; identifies IT capabilities and information required to support the business processes and collaborates in the development of appropriate IT strategies.
  • Develops technology strategies solutions that meet the requirements of the business. Identifies the business benefits of alternatives.  Ensures technology solutions and implementation options align to business goals and objectives.  Prepares testing plans to confirm that requirements and system design are accurate and complete.
  • Responsible for technology strategy, features roadmap, architectural design, and technical operations for the Marketo Engage marketing automation platform
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable AbbVie Policies and procedures. Work with minimal oversight; deliverables and relationships are monitored through periodic reviews.

 


  • Bachelor’s degree with 6 years’ experience; or master’s degree with 5 years’ experience
  • Knowledge of big data & experience in moving data from one system to another using middleware/ integration methodology
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SLC)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to building trust, listen, and ask effective questions.  Innovative thinking and the ability to leverage experience to be successful in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Interest in technology trends and application of technology to improve end user’s experience.
  • Proven track record of effective project leadership and positive results.  Ability to self-manage time and priorities.
  • Sets high standards of performance for self; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with the Adobe Marketo Engage, email authoring tools like KNAK, middleware data integration tools such as Informatica
  • Knowledge of terminology, processes, practices, and procedures associated with business systems analysis
  • Knowledge of Data Privacy, Data Security, HIPAA and health data compliance best practices.
