Associate Director, Enterprise Requests Productivity

Position Summary:

As Associate Director of Enterprise Requests Productivity, you are part of Best-in-Class Employee Experience team, with focus on enhancing productivity with friction-free processes, requests, and approvals, creating flexibility, space, and time for colleagues to work on what matter most.

 

Your goal is to ensure that enterprise requests and approvals exist only where required, that they are purposeful and automated, with transparent status. You own Enterprise Requests productivity strategy, standards, and lifecycle methodology. You ensure that Enterprise Requests are catalogued and measured. You plan, estimate, and lead investments to simplify and automate requests and approvals, align teams on best-in-class automation strategy, and drive cross-functional projects and programs to implement solutions that will measurably improve requests and approvals and deliver employee productivity.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Level Requests Lifecycle: You are responsible for establishing enterprise framework to define and categorize requests, to determine common enterprise requirements, and outline standards for requests implementations and lifecycle. You will also define common tools, templates, and procedures, driving cross functional adoption.
  • Enterprise Value Mapping Framework: You analyze existing operations, systems, processes, and metrics to identify pain points and prioritize high value improvement opportunities. You create measurable current/future state benefits tracking, with specific KPIs outlining productivity gains. You are enthusiastic about creating enterprise standards for Value Mapping, enabling, and influencing creation of new procedures, training, and changes to existing processes and procedures to ensure adoption of Enterprise value framework.
  • Business and IT Relationship Management: you are a key partner to IT process and system owners, enabling flourishing relationships with clear responsibilities between teams. You leverage cross functional expertise to implement process improvements spanning several different business and IT organizations. You work with both direct enterprise business clients as well as via BTS partners to ensure requests cataloging and improvements, enabling productivity gains. You are an ambassador to BTS that understands and supports agendas of key partners in each IT organization. You bring people together and build teams that cross boundaries of reporting structure, functional areas, and hierarchies that are vendor/service provider-agnostic. You know how to negotiate outcomes that will produce a win-win in most situations and display high emotional intelligence adapting your style to others. You can be persuasive and empathic when needed and represent a strong point of view to influence course of action.
  • Program Management: You are an experienced leader who organizes multiple initiatives into strategic programs, clearly identifying timelines and resources needed to execute. You lead cross functional teams to deliver on aggressive timelines with strong change management approach, while communicating clear benefits and value of each initiative with focus on productivity gains. You effectively manage risks, issues, and decisions and you engage Advisory Boards and Steering Committees in an effective and clear manner to ensure program success.
  • People Leadership: You have a passion for coaching and building teams of innovators with continuous improvement mindset, strong business acumen, digital dexterity, cross-system expertise, curiosity, and aptitude for new technology.     
  • Quality Mindset: Participate in setting policies and procedures. Identify the impact of any relevant statutory, internal, or external regulations on the organization’s use of information technology. Operate with a quality mindset while balancing quality and agility and bringing healthy challenges to organizational assumptions.
  • Community Manager: Develop and expand internal Social Media presence. Engage with clients and partners via internal Social Media tools. Promote department objectives and form community of practices. Bring and promote positive attitude and enthusiasm to daily work.

 


Qualifications:

  • . MBA preferred.
  • Experience in project management (at least 3 years), business systems analysis, software development or deployments. Exposure to a wide variety of technologies and applications, especially enterprise systems (HR, Finance, IT).
  • Can explain and present complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of organization. Broad and deep IT knowledge coupled with business process knowledge. Knowledge of enterprise level technology (such as ServiceNow, Office365, MS Teams, common Finance and HR systems) is a plus.
  • Able to understand and communicate potential impact of emerging technologies on organizations and individuals and can analyze the risks of using or not using such technologies. 
  • Key competencies include knowledge of pharma industry, preferably in IT. International mindset and enterprise thinking with ability to build credibility within the organization. Strong communication skills. Expertise in development and implementation of processes for metrics collection and reporting with focus on productivity. Must be comfortable with ambiguity; demonstrate problem solving and creative thinking skills
  • Six Sigma/DMAIC or similar process improvement/operational excellence certifications are a plus, as is SCRUM certification
