The Digital Marketing team is excited to welcome new talent, from all industries.  The team is comprised of technology and marketing experts with diverse backgrounds.  Pharma experience not required, in fact outside industry experience is welcomed! ‍

Position Overview

The Digital Media Optimization Comms and Tech lead is responsible for driving consolidated performance reporting, savings and efficiency improvements across all digital channels: search, social, display, on-line video, SMS and email. The Digital Campaign Lead will work with agencies, channel leads and data scientist to provide business context and insights on media and audience performance data to provide a feedback loop with based on performance results.  While this role is not “hands on keyboard” it will require deep knowledge of the media platforms and the ability to drive management presentations on delivery performance.  The ideal candidate should however, also be comfortable “getting their hands dirty” creating reporting requirements, campaign creation rules, workflows, and campaign adjustments etc., where needed.  The candidate should be an expert at communicating and presenting monthly delivery of optimization results across all Abbvie brands for digital marketing optimizations, savings and results.  This candidate will also be lead in working with IT on delivery of enhanced reporting capabilities across all digital channels to support efficient weekly and monthly report outs of performance to management.

Main Areas of Responsibility

  • Media platform communication lead on delivery of tactical digital campaign delivery that highlights in easy-to-understand terms the enhancements to campaign setup, conversion tracking and optimization adjustments within social, search and programmatic channels
  • Elevate best practices across channel leads for improvements to audience, creative tracking taxonomy and optimizations across partners
  • Ensure standardized learning agendas are shared by channel leads across all brands to improve the tactical execution across all Abbvie brands in terms of digital marketing best practices
  • Create and deliver reporting framework and consolidation of results across all brands and channel leads for all digital campaigns on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Summarize for management the optimization plans across channel leads and brands that highlight actionable recommendations to improve the performance of campaigns to align with KPI framework and business objectives
  • Deliver continuous improvement through questioning and challenging existing assumptions and extracting patterns in data
  • Summarize media optimization plans across channel leads and performance result presentations that are standardized but allow for unique report outs that are differentiated by brand focus areas
  • Aggregate A/B testing plans across channels and incorporate into regularly communications out to key stakeholders
  • Main point of contact to executive leads for media optimization plans and performance for assigned product categories

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or business discipline
  • Expert in Digital Marketing KPIs and customer journey analysis to articulate performance across awareness, consideration and conversion metrics
  • +8 years’ experience in advertising, marketing, business or related field
  • Significant experience with digital advertising platforms including Google, Facebook, Instagram Twitter, The Trade Desk Display, Online Video programmatic and SEM
  • Experience with DMPs, CDPs, LiveRamp and TTD required
  • Align test plans and campaigns with business and media performance KPIs and objectives.  Track and monitor overall performance to demonstrate value of campaigns and A/B tests
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills to support Management report outs
  • Great interpersonal skills, with an easy ability to coordinate and communicate with internal departments and external partners
  • Expert written/verbal communication with an ability to articulate digital functionality and concepts into laymen’s terms for inexperienced clients and partners
  • Excellent project management and task tracking skills to drive results with dedicated project managers
  • Strong ability to work independently, be proactive about campaign management, departmental improvement, and market advancement
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a desire to always find a successful solution
  • Ability to prioritize tasks independently, as well as flexibility to adjust quickly to changes in priorities from external forces
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in their individual performance and their team’s performance
  • Calm and comfortable in ever-changing environment; results-driven with an ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment‍
