We are recruiting a Senior Product Specialist - Gastroenterology to join our join our team in Citywest, Dublin. The Senior Product Specialist will achieve sales targets for promoted products through the provision of information and education to designated stakeholders. It is important that they build relationships and develop key opinion leaders and groups of influential healthcare professionals.

A snapshot of your key responsibilities as a Senior Product Specialist - Gastroenterology would be:

  • To achieve sales objectives of AbbVie products as laid out in the brand plan. 
  • To promote AbbVie products to the medical profession and agreed associated professions. 
  • To develop relationships and support with key opinion leaders and groups of influential health care professionals. 
  • To develop and maintain a high level of knowledge about the treatments, competitors, changing environments and treatment paradigm to create maximum impact on sales performance. 
  • Develop and deliver customer engagement plans for each key account linked to the brand critical success factors. Deliver on promotional call targets and call quality metrics.  
  • To report accurately on all activities carried out in line with company procedure in a timely manner. This will include weekly updates on performance, sales and activity, environmental issues/changes to competitor activity. 
  • Provide sales information to In-Field Team lead each month to support development of proposed forecast. 
  • Recording of call activity in line with Sales Force Excellence requirements to facilitate the analysis of targeted messages and sales performance. 
  • To control budgeted promotional expenditure within territory, as agreed with manager, in order to maximize profitability. 
  • To maintain standards of conduct in line with company procedure and in an accordance with IPHA Code of Practice in order to maintain and enhance the reputation of the company. 
  • Collect Market Intelligence and use approved methods of communicating this to Manager. 
  • Active member of designated infield team, assuming infield coordinator roles where required.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Third level qualification in science, nursing or other relevant industry sales experience preferable.
  • In-dept previous experience in Gastroenterology and relationships with Gastroenterology multi-disciplinary teams desired but not essential. 
  • Proven track record in sales with continued demonstrated strong performance and achievement of sale targets. 
  • Demonstrated ability to differentiate and sell in a highly scientific and dynamic area. 
  • Demonstrated customer orientation and neutral relationship-building capability. 
  • Proven ability to work in a matrix structure. 
  • Launch experience strongly desired.
