Financial Analyst

In this role, you will be the owner of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) cycles within the Netherlands Commercial affiliate. That means that you are responsible for the planning, consolidation, validation, chasing and challenging of all input required for the various FP&A cycles. Your role at AbbVie
In this new position, you will get the opportunity to design, improve and maintain local infrastructure relating to FP&A systems and reports. Besides overall FP&A process owner, you are responsible for planning all P&L .That is what it means to work as Financial Analyst at AbbVie. Furthermore, you will be exposed to and learn about other Finance processes like Customer Service and Procure to Pay. You provide pro-active support including financial reporting, master data maintenance, process improvement and special project initiatives. As our new Financial Analyst, your responsibilities will cover the entire globe. Your tasks contribute to AbbVie’s success and the health of the patients who are at the heart of our work. That is where you join us and where you can help us realize our growth ambitions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to two main tasks:
- Owner of the overall financial planning and analysis processes
- Consolidation of input from multiple stakeholders into S&OP deck, ADS, LBE, PLN, UPD, LRP submissions
- Innovate and lead improvement projects related to financial systems and processes. Especially new planning and reporting systems for sales, cost of sales, expenses and detailed reporting.
- Consolidate financial data and manage data loads into regional/global financial and demand planning systems such as JDA, HQPS and Longview
- Coordinating the preparation of the S&OP deck, collecting input from various business units and preparing overall slides
- P&L forecast and reporting – responsible for forecasting and reporting of all non-sales related P&L lines such as SG&A, R&D, Distribution, Standard cost, TCGM, Royalties etc.
- Liaison with (senior) management to develop and simplify all internal reporting processes
- Support Customer Service and PTP related activities, including price request, customer/vendor master maintenance, PO requests.
- Business partner for several departments, supporting with all finance related topics including expense forecasting & analysis
We encourage hybrid working, where you work at least 3 days a week in the office. In this role, you work closely with your finance and commercial colleagues and will report to the FP&A Manager in the Netherlands with other key stakeholders at the Region Finance office in Paris.

More specifically, we ask the following of you:
- Master Degree in Finance
- Approximately 4-6 years working experience in Finance roles in similar environment
- Proven experience with financial modeling: translating business cases and scenarios into financial modeling, top to bottom P&L line
- Track record of using initiative, drive and questioning to improve the performance of professional teams
- Ability to translate complex market dynamics into a simple story and clear executive explanation for upper management
- Willingness to learn new concepts and ways of working (growth mindset)
- Experience using reporting tools such as SAP, TM1, PowerBI
